This year my main aim is to break out of my comfort zone - I've had the same skincare routine for over a year now - and it's time to try some new brands and products.
Right at the top of my lust list are the Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts, these were mentioned by countless bloggers last year and I have been wanting them ever since. They're described as a 'natural version of Valium', now I'm no advocate of drug misuse, but god darn it that sounds good to me. Any university/college student will know how crazy your sleeping patterns can be, so these are just the ticket (just don't use them the night before a deadline...)
As I mentioned my skincare routine has become somewhat monotonous and it definitely needs some reviving; in the form of great, new (to me) brands like Aesop, Fresh, Trilogy, Christophe Robin and Tres Pure. I usually just pick up products from the drugstore, but this year I want to branch out and explore more higher end products. I know that bigger price tag doesn't always mean better product, so I'll be doing be doing my research and my hard earned/borrowed pennies wisely.
One element I am definitely excited to be adding into my routine is a serum (my dry winter skin is begging for it!) It's something I used to always associate with my mum, but I'm starting to come around to the idea that it will be good for me too. The only problem is that a good serum is near on impossible to find in the drugstore, so a bit of a splurge may be necessary.
Look out for some reviews on these products later in the year.
