What the bloggers wore: NYFW

Happy valentine's day. This is as themed as it gets...I talk about the colour red.

So once again New York fashion week came and went in a flurry of oversized winter neutrals, and once again I was left baffled by some of the so-called upcoming trends. Seldom do I find the occasion to wear a mohair football jersey dress with three sets of shin pads a la Jeremy Scott. So when in doubt, look to the fashion bloggers.

They're a bunch of always stylish, ever cool ladies, who rarely put an Aperlai clad foot wrong and NYFW was no different. The bloggers encapsulate the trends, but in a way in which us mere mortals can actually wear...in public! And my favourite blogger trend this year were the neutral outfits with a pop of bright red, or cayenne if we're being pantone precise.

This 'trend' is so wearable and so great to cheer up a dreary winter ensemble. I'm not wild enough to go head-to-toe in this colour, so I'll be incorporating it via accessories such as scarfs, bags, maybe some shoes if I'm feeling adventurous.

Here are my top 'cayenne' picks and how I'll be wearing them this season.

Not all at the same time I might add, but then again I don't think anyone would take notice, it's fashion week after all and must I repeat mohair football jersey dress.
